Remember thy servants,

기억하소서 주의 종들을

Abraham,

(곧) 아브라함과

Isaac,

이삭과

and Jacob;

야콥을

look not

보지 마소서

unto the stubbornness of this people,

이 백성의 완고함을

nor to their wickedness,

또 그들의 사악함을

nor to their sin:

또 그들의 죄를 (보지 마소서)

Yet they are thy people

여전히 그들은 주의 백성이며

and thine inheritance,

주의 상속입니다

which thou broughtest out

주께서 데리고 나오신

by thy mighty power

주의 강한 능력과

and by thy stretched out arm.

주님의 펴신 팔로

Not for thy righteousness,

그대의 의로움 때문이 아니며

or for the uprightness of thine heart,

그대 마음의 정직함 때문도 아니니

dost thou go to possess

그대가 가서 소유한 것은

their land:

그들의 땅을

but

오직

for the wickedness of these nations

이 민족들의 사악함 때문에

the LORD thy God doth drive them out

주님이신 그대의 하나님께서 그들을 몰아내신 것입니다

from before thee,

그대 앞에서부터

and that he may perform

그리고 그분께서 실행하시기 위함입니다

the word which the LORD sware

주님께서 맹세하셨던 말씀을

unto thy fathers,

그대의 조상들에게

Abraham,

(곧) 아브라함

Isaac,

이삭

and Jacob.

This charge

이 명령을

I commit unto thee,

내가 그대에게 맡깁니다

son Timothy,

아들 티모디여

according to the prophecies

대언들에 따라

which went before on thee,

이전에 그대에게 주어진

that thou by them

이것은 그대가 그것들로

mightest war a good warfare;

선한 전쟁을 치르게 하려 함입니다

faith,

믿음과

and a good conscience;

선한 양심을

which

some having put away

concerning faith
