| Not for thy righteousness, |
 그대의 의로움 때문이 아니며
|
| or for the uprightness of thine heart, |
|
그대 마음의 정직함 때문도 아니니
|
| dost thou go to possess |
|
그대가 가서 소유한 것은
|
| but |
|
오직
|
| for the wickedness of these nations |
|
이 민족들의 사악함 때문에
|
| the LORD thy God doth drive them out |
|
주님이신 그대의 하나님께서 그들을 몰아내신 것입니다
|
| from before thee, |
|
그대 앞에서부터
|
| and that he may perform |
|
그리고 그분께서 실행하시기 위함입니다
|
| the word which the LORD sware |
|
주님께서 맹세하셨던 말씀을
|
| unto thy fathers, |
|
그대의 조상들에게
|
|

| the end of the commandment |
|
명령의 목적은
|
| out of a pure heart, |
|
순수한 마음에서 나오는
|
| and of a good conscience, |
|
선한 양심에서 나오는
|
| and of faith unfeigned: |
|
거짓 없는 믿음에서 나오는
|
|
 |
