Be sober,

정신을 차리고

be vigilant;

깨어 있으십시오

because

그 까닭은

your adversary the devil,

여러분의 대적 마귀가

as a roaring lion,

울부짖는 사자처럼

walketh about,

두루 다니며

seeking whom

여러분을 찾고 있기 때문입니다

he may devour:

그가 삼키려고

Feed

먹이십시오

the flock of God

하나님의 양떼를

which is among you,

여러분 가운데 있는

taking the oversight

감독하십시오

thereof,

그것에 대해

not by constraint,

억지로 말고

but willingly;

자원함으로 (하십시오)

not for filthy lucre,

더러운 이익을 위하여 하지 말고

but of a ready mind;

오직 준비된 마음으로 하십시오

Neither as being lords

지배자처럼 군림하지 말고

over God's heritage,

하나님의 상속자들 위에

but being ensamples

오히려 모범이 되십시오

to the flock.

양떼들에게

And he said unto him,

Son,

아들아

thou art ever

너는 항상 함께 있었다

with me,

나와

and all that I have

그리고 내가 가진 모든 것이

is thine.

너의 것이다

It was meet

마땅하다

that we should make merry,

우리가 즐거워하고

and be glad:

기뻐하는 것이

for

이는

this thy brother was dead,

이 네 동생은 죽었다가

and is alive again;

다시 살아났으며

and was lost,

잃어버렸다가

and is found.

찾았기 때문이다
