Love not the world,

세상을 사랑하지 마십시오

neither the things that are

또한 있는 것들도

in the world.

세상에

If any man love the world,

만일 누구든지 세상을 사랑하면

the love of the Father is not

하나님의 사랑이 있지 않습니다

in him.

그 사람에게

For all that is

이는 모든 것은

in the world,

세상에 있는

the lust of the flesh,

육신의 정욕과

and the lust of the eyes,

눈의 정욕과

and the pride of life,

인생의 자랑이기 때문입니다

is not of the Father,

(이것은) 아버지에게서 난 것이 아니요

but is of the world.

세상에서 난 것입니다

He that saith

말하는 사람

he is in the light,

자기가 빛 가운데 있다고

and hateth his brother,

그러면서 자기 형제를 미워하는 사람은

is in darkness

어두움 가운데 있습니다

even until now.

지금까지도

But he

그 사람

that hateth his brother

자기 형제를 미워하는 (그 사람은)

is in darkness,

어두움 가운데 있고

and walketh in darkness,

어두움 가운데 걸으며

and knoweth not

알지 못합니다

whither he goeth,

자기가 어디로 가고 있는 지

because

그 이유는

that darkness hath blinded his eyes.

어두움이 그의 눈을 멀게 했기 때문입니다
