Now therefore

그러므로 이제

hearken unto me,

나의 말에 귀를 기울이라

O ye children:

오 너희 자녀들아

for

이는

blessed are

복이 있기 때문이다

they

사람들은

that keep my ways.

나의 길들을 지키는

For

이는

whoso findeth me

누구든지 나를 찾는 자는

findeth life,

생명을 찾는 것이요

and shall obtain

얻게 될 것이다

favour of the LORD.

The fear of the LORD

주님을 두려워하는 것은

is to hate evil:

악을 미워하는 것이다

pride,

교만과

and arrogancy,

거만과

and the evil way,

악한 길과

and the froward mouth,

비뚤어진 입을

do I hate.

내가 미워한다

Counsel is mine,

계략이 나의 것이며

and sound wisdom:

건전한 지혜도 (나의 것이니)

I am understanding;

나는 명철이요

I have strength.

나에게 능력이 있다

And ye shall not walk

너희는 걷지 말라

in the manners of the nation,

그 민족의 풍습대로

which I cast out

내가 쫓아낸

before you:

너희 앞에서

for

이는

they committed all these things,

그들이 이 모든 것을 저질렀기 때문이요

and therefore

그러므로

I abhorred them.

And ye shall be holy

너희는 거룩하라

unto me:

the LORD

am holy,

거룩하고

and have severed you

너희를 구별했기 때문이다

from other people,

다른 백성들에게서

that ye should be mine.
