Mercy and truth

긍휼과 진리가

are met together;

함께 만나고

righteousness and peace

의와 화평이

have kissed

입을 맞추었다

each other.

서로

11

Truth shall spring out

진리가 솟아나고

of the earth;

땅에서

and righteousness shall look down

의는 내려 본다

from heaven.

하늘에서

Not for thy righteousness,

그대의 의로움 때문이 아니며

or for the uprightness of thine heart,

그대 마음의 정직함 때문도 아니니

dost thou go to possess

그대가 가서 소유한 것은

their land:

그들의 땅을

but

오직

for the wickedness of these nations

이 민족들의 사악함 때문에

the LORD thy God doth drive them out

주님이신 그대의 하나님께서 그들을 몰아내신 것입니다

from before thee,

그대 앞에서부터

and that he may perform

그리고 그분께서 실행하시기 위함입니다

the word which the LORD sware

주님께서 맹세하셨던 말씀을

unto thy fathers,

그대의 조상들에게

Abraham,

(곧) 아브라함

Isaac,

이삭

and Jacob.

그리고 야콥에게

And thou say

그리고 그대가 말하지 (않도록 하시오)

in thine heart,

그대 마음속에

My power

내 힘과

and the might

능력이

of mine hand

내 손의

hath gotten me

내게 가져왔다

this wealth.

이 재물을

But thou shalt remember

그러나 그대는 기억하시오

the LORD thy God:

주 그대의 하나님을

for

이는

it is he that giveth thee

그분께서 친히 그대에게 주시니

power to get wealth,

재물을 얻을 능력을

that he may establish his covenant

그분께서 자신의 계약(언약)을 세우시기 위함입니다

which he sware unto thy fathers,

그분께서 그대의 조상들에게 맹세하셨던

as it is this day.
